After 21 years, ITGUYS is beginning a new chapter.
Founder Ben Schneider has sold ITGUYS to Digital Orchard IT, an Edinburgh-based managed IT and cyber security business founded by Simon McCullagh.
Ben and Simon have known each other for many years, and choosing the right person to take ITGUYS forward was hugely important.
“Selling ITGUYS was never simply about finding a buyer. We’ve built long-standing relationships with our clients and have a brilliant team, so I wanted to know that the person taking the business forward would look after both properly. I’ve known Simon for years. I trust him, I like the way he does business, and importantly, we share many of the same values about how clients and people should be treated. I’m genuinely pleased that he’s the person taking ITGUYS into its next chapter.”
What does this mean for ITGUYS clients?
For our clients, it’s business as usual.
ITGUYS will continue to operate as normal. You’ll continue to work with the same people, use the same support channels and receive the same services. There are no changes to existing contracts or pricing as a result of the sale.
Ben will remain actively involved, working alongside Simon and the wider team to make the transition as straightforward as possible.
Over time, bringing ITGUYS and Digital Orchard IT together will give us access to a broader team and additional expertise, while retaining the personal relationships and approach that have always been central to ITGUYS.

Finding the right home for ITGUYS mattered.
After more than two decades of building the business, Ben wanted to find someone who shared ITGUYS’ commitment to its clients, its team and the way it does business.
